FAQ’s For Single Ski Holidays & Beachclubs

Ski Holiday For Beginners

skivo2 holidays in Courchevel will be specially suitable as the very best English BASI tuition is included in the price, I cannot recommend this highly enough. If you choose a holiday with another tour operator lessons will normally be extra and booked at the local ski school.

Will There Be An Opportunity To Meet The Rest Of The Group Before We Travel?

Sometimes we organise social weekends in the UK which make an ideal introduction for new members & a reunion for those who have travelled before. You can also visit me in Reading or chat on the phone any time. We put you in touch with other guests in your area before you travel to share airport parking and travel together if you wish.

No Single Supplent

The holiday price is for shared rooms and i am happy to find someone for you to share with. If you prefer a single room we try to find them without supplement or at least for a reasonable amount.

Large Group Ski Holidays

One of the reasons that we hope to have a large group is to make sure everyone has good company within their own ski ability. When you book I can tell you more about other members of the group & their ski experience.

What Does Singlesport Get Out Of The Holiday?

Very good company to ski with! Usually the tour operator gives the tour leader a free place or some commission which helps me to cover the cost of running the Singlesport web site, advertising etc In return for this I have to undertake to deal with all the enquiries & administration for the group.

What Age Group Will The Party Be?

This varies but usually 20s to 60+. Please ask me to advise further on any particular holiday

Is Singlesport A Dating Agency?

No it isn’t. We are simply a social group bringing together single skiers who enjoy good company and want to be part of a group. The majority of members will be single but some will be married people whose partner doesn’t ski. Lots of friendships have been formed & members have gone on to book additional trips privately with friends they have met through Singlesport. If its important to you at the time of booking I will be able to tell you how many men & ladies have booked but this will obviously vary as the bookings come in & hopefully you will help by inviting your friends to join us.

How Can We Help Invite More Skiers?

Please invite anyone you know or put a note on your local notice board at the gym or dry ski slope. It is much appreciated if you would also mention Singlesport on the various ski forums

Can Children Come?

One day when Singlesport is much bigger perhaps we might organise a chalet for single parents with their children but currently it is not viable, . Many members do however bring their grown up children in their 20s particularly at Christmas

Can Couples Come As Part Of The Party?

Yes. Couples are by far the minority but some have met on our holidays & continue to travel with us. If you often travel with a group that includes couples please invite them. If you book as a single & between now & then meet a new partner you wish to include that’s fine too.

What If Something Goes Wrong?

Please remember that Singlesport is not a travel agent. I am simply inviting you to join a party but your contract will be with the tour operator & so please familiarise yourself with all their terms & conditions .

Some holidays might include a flight and transfer. Others organised by smaller companies will invite you to make your own travel arrangements. For your convenience they will usually offer a transfer.
If your outbound flight is disrupted and you miss your transfer this is a matter for you to discuss with your airline and insurer. In some circumstances the airline will organise a taxi to resort or hotel accommodation if they are to blame for the delay.  Similarly if the return transfer is delayed and this causes you to miss a flight or incur a hotel cost you would also need to claim against your travel insurance if the delay was beyond the control of the tour operator.

Emergency Contact Details

You are advised to update the contact details in the back of your passport and make sure that person has details of your holiday insurance.

Will There Be Golf/Tennis/Sailing/Beach Holidays?

Yes. We are now offering Neilson Beach clubs in the summer which include a huge variety of land and water sports. As our membership grows it may be possible to organise more specialised holidays in a variety of other sports

Singlesport Terms and Conditions

Singlesport is the trading name of Ruth Paul.  Singlesport puts together groups of solo travellers for shared holidays.

Singlesport is not a travel agency.  Singlesport gets groups of people together and facilitates group holidays.  Singlesport does not receive any payment from holidaymakers but may receive free holidays and other payments or commissions from the holiday companies.

If Singlesport accepts any money from holiday makers this is only to facilitate the administration of the booking and is passed to the holiday company without any deduction.  Singlesport does not sell holidays.

The recommended holidays are all operated by specialist companies in their field. Your payments are made to these companies and your contracts are with them and subject to their terms and conditions.  Some are protected by their ABTA and ATOL licences whilst others may not be.

Some holidays might include a flight and transfer. Others organised by smaller companies will invite you to make your own travel arrangements. Where you make your own arrangements then again your contact is with the airline/transfer company.

Whilst Singlesport recommends these holidays it does not accept any responsibility or liability for them and you must take up any dispute with your holiday/travel provider under the terms of your contract with them.

You agree with Singlesport that you will have adequate travel insurance including off piste skiing insurance if you plan to ski off piste.  You also agree with Singlesport that you will travel with an up to date EHIC card for holidays in Europe.

Valid passports and visas are your responsibility.

Emergency Contact Details. You are advised to update the contact details in the back of your passport and make sure that person has details of your holiday insurance.
As Singlesport holidays are social groups some details such as your home town and mobile number will be shared with the group before you travel and you consent to the sharing of photographs on the Singlesport web site and social media
