Solo guided ski holiday, Vialattea Italy: Saturday 12 March 2022

Guided ski holiday for solo and single skiers

Guided ski Holiday in Italy

Cesana is the base for our Italian guided holiday and is well placed near the centre of the huge Vialattea region or “Milky Way”. These resorts are all covered on one lift pass leaving us free to choose a different destination every day. Mongenevre is in France and all the others are in Italy, Claviere,Sansicario,Sestriere,Pragelato, and Sauze D’Oulx, We will have 5 ski instructors to guide us so that the groups can move at different speeds to suit everyone, There will be no need to read a map nor worry about getting the last lift home nor booking a restaurant , you can relax and leave all that to the instructors. The aim is to clock up the miles through this wonderful area and enjoy your day out. If you wish to ask your instructor about your skiing they will be pleased to give you tips to improve but they won’t be doing drills or teaching the group as a whole.

Who is this guided ski trip for?

It is essential to be able to cope with a red run confidently but where possible the leisurely group will seek out cruisey blue runs whilst the fastest group will choose more challenging black runs when they present themselves. We will be skiing all day & so there will not be an option to return to the hotel at lunch time as we may be some considerable distance away.Whether you’re single or have a partner who doesn’t ski, this is a perfect trip that will allow you plenty of time on the slopes whilst enabling you to meet like-minded skiers in a friendly environment.

Sample guiding programme:

Sansicario and Pragelato. Just one lift away from our base in Cesana – Sansicario has some wonderful skiing and is the ideal place to find our legs on day 1 and choose a nice lunch spot
Exploring Sauz d’Oulx. Beautifully groomed pistes amongst the trees is on the agenda. It will be a challenge to ski all the area on one day but dependent on the ski levels we will do our best.
High altitude skiing. Sestriere sits at 2000m with the top station at over 2600m. There is something for everyone here and a chance to ski the men’s downhill run from the 2006 Olympics if you fancy it!

France and Montgenevre. Today we ski over the border to France and can enjoy the long sweeping runs on the far side of Montgenevre. It’s a vast area in itself so we can come back on another day to enjoy some of the more challenging pistes on the Franco/Italian border.

Claviere and Montgenevre Easy access from Cesana – Claviere is a beautiful small Italian resort sitting on the border. It has some wonderful mountain restaurants and if you like perfectly groomed pistes look no further. After a morning in Claviere the plan is to enjoy more of the Montgenevre ski area.
