Ski holiday for Single and Solo Skiers

This is a really popular ski trip for our solo skiers, which we run twice a year in January and
March. You will benefit from chalet accommodation on this group ski trip, as well as ski lessons
based on your ability. There will be plenty of opportunity to meet new, like-minded skiers
throughout the trip.

This is definitely a good choice if you want to socialise and combine the very best lessons with
plenty of free ski time as well. By attending lessons (10 hours in total spread over 3 mornings) it’s
an ideal way to identify other skiers who ski at your pace even though they may be staying in
other chalets. The best skiers are challenged by these excellent instructors and less confident
skiers are well looked after and encouraged.

Chalet accommodation and ski tuition in Courchevel

This is the ski holiday that offers 10 hours tuition to everyone from blue run skiers to experts.
Whether you are single or have a partner who doesn’t ski, this is the perfect trip that will allow you plenty of time on the slopes whilst enabling you to meet like-minded skiers in a friendly
environment.

Solo ski holiday – Prices

Prices vary according to the chalet you choose but they all include 7 nights accommodation, 7
breakfasts (2 will be self service) 5 dinners with wine and 10 hours ski tuition.

Chalet staff have two full days off (when rooms are not serviced).

We go out to dinner on one night but on the other night off a complimentary Savoyard evening is
offered self service There will be a raclette machine available in your chalet and in your fridge
you will find a mixed meat selection and cheese platter to cook on the raclette, along with fresh
salad, potatoes, french bread and Savoyard sauces to help yourself to. You are welcome to help
yourself to the chalet wines.

Entry into the chalet will be after after 15.00. Early arrivals can drop their luggage but no catering
is available. Rooms must be vacated by 10am (anyone skiing on Saturday can return to change
and collect their luggage but not shower).

You can choose to stay in any one of the chalets, please click on the pictures above for further
details.

Availability is constantly changing. Please apply for your first choice and if it is full I will suggest an
alternative.

£819 Chalet Roger —now full                               we are offering this holiday again on 2 March
£819 Chalet Valerianne– now full
£929 Chalet Nicola–now full
£909 Chalet Rosalie–now full
£909 Chalet Sapin Bleu- now full

Chalet owners far prefer it if we can organise ourselves to share rooms. I am therefore very
happy to find you someone to share with as long as you don’t smoke or snore.. They have
however agreed to some single occupancy for a supplement but these rooms are very limited. If
you choose a single room the skivo2 supplement is £500 in premier chalets and £400 in Chalet
Roger and Valerianne.

Chalet  rooms vary considerably. Where possible we give priority to those sharing a room before
those requiring single occupancy. Within each category if rooms differ we try to give the
advantage to those who book first.

Skivo2 premier chalets give more choice of food, beautifully decorated ensuite accommodation, everything that the standard chalets do plus that little bit extra:

Guests in skivo2 premier chalets enjoy a full cooked breakfast along with fresh fruit salad in addition to the standard breakfast offered in the other chalets. Or your chef will be happy to help if you prefer something else.

A glass or two of chilled bubbly along with some canapés before dinner each evening.

A speciality cheeseboard with fresh fruit and port is offered each evening after dinner.

Specially chosen top quality red, white and rosé wines are also served each evening.

Additionally each bedroom is supplied with a hairdryer and extra soft, fluffy bath and hand towels.

Flights/Trains/Coach/Transfers

COACH
The cheapest way to reach Courchevel is by bus from London or Folkestone and last season the
return cost was just £200. https://www.snowexpress.co.uk/ They leave London Friday
to arrive early Saturday afternoon and return Saturday evening which means that you can ski on
the last Saturday if you wish. Several guests tried it and found it efficient. Please email me if you
would like to discuss this further

TRAIN
You can book Eurostar to Paris as soon as you reserve your place to arrive on Friday or Saturday. You change stations in Paris and complete the journey by train to Moutiers. These tickets normally go on sale in November. You can easily make this journeys on Friday Saturday or Sunday and stay the night in Moutiers if you wish to ski for 7 or 8 days instead of 6.

In addition Eurostar have just announced a direct ski train. All the details are here https://www.snowcarbon.co.uk/blog/the-new-eurostar-ski-train-service It will require you to find a bed in Moutiers as it travels out on Saturday and back on Sunday to ski on 7 days instead of 6.

Bookings opened on 31 August  for the new January service but please reserve your Singlesport room before booking a train. (https://www.eurostar.com/uk-en/train/france/ski-train).

If you are interested in travelling by train Daniel  at  www.Snocarbon.co.uk   is the expert so sign up for his newsletter

It is easy to transfer from Moutiers to Courchevel by public bus or skivo2 will provide a transfer
for £35 return if sufficient guests are travelling together

FLIGHTS
£180pp return: Geneva: Arrive before 13.50 and depart after 13.00 to try to group together.

Skivo2 can only offer transfers from other airports if a minimum of 4 people are travelling
together.

If your flight does not suit our transfer times or if you need to travel to a different airport there
are private companies available, you need to search for SHARED transfers. Below are a few I
have found:

  • https://www.bensbus.co.uk/shared-airport-ski-transfers
  • https://www.lepraztransfers.com/
  • http://www.3vt.co.uk/shared_transfers.htm
  • https://www.snowbus.co.uk

I am happy to advise you which flights/trains other guests are using as the more people
travelling together the easier it is to arrange transfers.

Please discuss your travel plans with me if the above is not clear or if the timings do not suit you.
