Solo ski holiday Courchevel – Saturday 8 January 2022

Chalet Sapin Bleu

Chalet Valeriane

Chalet accommodation and ski tuition in Courchevel

This is a really popular ski trip for our solo skiers, which we run twice a year in January and March. You will benefit from chalet accommodation on this group ski trip, as well as ski lessons based on your ability and apres sessions organised by Singlesport. There will be  plenty of opportunity to meet new, like-minded skiers throughout the trip.

This is definitely a good choice if you want to socialise and combine the very best lessons with plenty of free ski time as well. By attending lessons (10 hours in total spread over 3 mornings) it’s an ideal way to identify other skiers who ski at your pace even though they may be staying in other chalets. The best skiers are challenged by these excellent instructors and beginners are well looked after and encouraged by more experienced guests. This year we will be offering lesson extensions as an option for a small extra charge to those who wish to travel further through the Three Valleys or spend more time off piste (subject to number of guests interested)

Who is this solo ski holiday for?

This is the ski holiday that suits all abilities as 10 hours tuition is offered to everyone from beginners to advanced skiers. Whether you’re single or have a partner who doesn’t ski, this is the perfect trip that will allow you plenty of time on the slopes whilst enabling you to meet like-minded skiers in a friendly environment.

Prices vary according to the chalet you choose but they all include 7 nights accommodation, 7 breakfasts  ( 2 will be self service) 5 dinners with wine and 10 hours ski tuition

Chalet staff have two full days  off (when rooms are not serviced)

Entry into the chalet will be after after 15.00. Early arrivals can drop their luggage but no catering is available. Rooms must be vacated by 10am ( anyone skiing on Saturday can return to change and collect their luggage but not shower)

Chalet owners far prefer it if we can organise ourselves to share rooms. I am therefore very happy to find you someone to share with. They have however agreed to some single occupancy for a supplement but these rooms are limited. If you choose a single room the skivo2 supplement is £300 in premier chalets & £250 in Chalet Roger and Valerianne
Chalet  rooms vary considerably. Where possible we give priority to those sharing a room before those requiring single occupancy. Within each category if rooms differ we try to give the advantage to those who book first.

Skivo2 premier chalets give more choice of food, beautifully decorated ensuite accommodation, everything that the standard chalets do plus that little bit extra:
Guests in skivo2 premier chalets enjoy a full cooked breakfast along with fresh fruit salad in addition to the standard breakfast offered in the other chalets. Or your chef will be happy to help if you prefer something else.

A glass or two of chilled bubbly along with some canapés before dinner each evening

A speciality cheeseboard with fresh fruit and port is offered each evening after dinner

Specially chosen top quality red, white and rosé wines are also served each evening

Additionally each bedroom is supplied with a hairdryer and extra soft, fluffy bath and hand towels

£140pp return  Grenoble  Minibus  transfers will serve flights landing before 14.45 and taking off after 13.00. Subject to grouping at least 4 guests on each transfer

These 2 flights from London to Grenoble are likely to be popular and these guests should not have to wait as long as earlier & later arrivals

If your flight does not suit our transfer times or if you need to travel to a different airport these private companies and other similar ones  may be of help

It is still possible to take the Eurostar to Paris & change for Moutiers.& use the local bus to reach Le Praz. We do not expect Eurostar to run in 2022 and are a great help when planning train journeys—–often cheaper . If you wish to stay the first Friday night &/or the last Saturday night in Moutiers you will be able to ski 7 or 8 days instead of 6. There is a local bus from Moutiers to Le Praz

Snow Express is super cheap from London right to Le Praz if you are happy to travel overnight by coach

I am happy to advise you which flights/trains other guests are using as the more people on the same flight the easier it is to arrange transfers

Please discuss your travel plans with me if the above is not clear or if the timings do not suit you.

Lift Passes

We buy the 3 valleys pass to allow our lessons to venture into Meribel & Val Thorens as well as Courchevel. (except beginners who can buy the Courchevel only pass) It is important to have the same ski pass as other members of your lesson group so that the lesson is not limited. Lift passes should be ordered in advance through the Singlesport booking site by clicking on “options” but they are paid for by card or cash on arrival. Skivo2 will take your payment & give you the pass when you hire your skis or in your chalet . By buying through skivo2 you can take advantage of the Tribu discount. There is also a discount for “seniors” over 65 with proof of age. Here are the prices
Skivo2 will not charge you for using your credit card but your bank may do. To avoid bank charges you can pay in cash if you wish.

Ski Hire

skivo2 have their own ski hire department in the basement of Chalet Nicola . On arrival in resort either your minibus driver or your chalet host will take you there to choose your skis boots & helmets if required. You can order in advance & pay in sterling or select and pay on arrival in Euros cash, either way Singlesport guests get 20% discount on the prices below. At the end of the holiday you can leave your skis in your chalet, there is no need to return them to Chalet Nicola.
