Chalet accommodation and  ski tuition in Courchevel

This is a really popular ski trip for our solo skiers, which we run twice a year. You will benefit from chalet accommodation on this group ski trip, as well as ski lessons based on your ability and apres sessions organised by Singlesport. Which means, there is plenty of opportunity to meet new, like-minded skiers throughout the trip.

This is definitely a good choice if you want to socialise and combine the very best lessons with plenty of free ski time as well. By attending lessons (10 hours in total) it’s an ideal way to identify other skiers who ski at your pace even though they may be staying in other chalets. Even the best skiers are challenged by these excellent instructors and beginners are well looked after and encouraged by more experienced guests. This year we will be offering lesson extensions as an option for a small extra charge to those who wish to travel further through the Three Valleys or spend more time off piste or in the bumps, (subject to number of guests interested)

Price

Prices vary according to the chalet you choose but they all include 7 nights accommodation, 7 breakfasts 7 teas ( 3 breakfasts & teas will be self service) 6 dinner with wine and 10 hours ski tuition

Please note that chalet staff have one full day and 2 mornings off (when rooms are not serviced) – this is due to changes in French legislation that we must comply without greatly increasing prices

£949  Chalet Jardin ––shared room including lessons with the Singlesport group–transfer from Geneva £120 if required with MH

£699 Chalet Louis  –shared room including lessons with the Singlesport group–transfer from Geneva £120 if required with MH

Jardin & Louis guests flying into Grenoble could try www.snowbus.co.uk for transfers to Courchevel le Praz

eg   BA 0384 1155 Heathrow 1445 Grenoble    BA0385 1535 Grenoble 1630 Heathrow

Guests flying into  Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble & Chambery  could also try https://www.lepraztransfers.com/  if times do not suit MH transfer

Chalet owners far prefer it if we can organise ourselves to share rooms. I am therefore very happy to find you someone to share with. I have however persuaded them to agree to some single occupancy for a supplement but these rooms are limited. If you require a single room the skivo2 supplement is £300 in premier chalets & £250 in standard chalets. Sorry single occupancy now sold out

Chalet & hotel rooms vary considerably. Where possible we give priority to those sharing a room before those requiring single occupancy. Within each category if rooms differ we try to give the advantage to those who book first.

skivo2 premier chalets give more choice of food , beautifully decorated ensuite accommodation, everything that the standard chalets do plus that little bit extra:
Guests in skivo2 premier chalets enjoy a full cooked breakfast along with fresh fruit salad in addition to the standard breakfast offered in the other chalets. Or your chef will be happy to help if you prefer something else.

A glass or two of chilled bubbly along with some canapés before dinner each evening

A speciality cheeseboard with fresh fruit and port is offered each evening after dinner

Specially chosen top quality red, white and rosé wines are also served each evening

Aditionally each bedroom is supplied with a hairdryer and extra soft, fluffy bath and hand towels

Flights/Trains

By booking early you can spread your costs & get the advantage of good flight or train prices but please do not book your flight or train until your chalet booking is confirmed.
Flights for skivo2 chalets should arrive in Geneva before 16.30 —-return flights take off after 10.30

I have also nominated just one Heathrow Grenoble flight for skivo2 guests which is currently  much cheaper than Geneva. Heathrow flight taking off at 11.55 and returning at 15.40

You can book the Eurostar train leaving London on Friday night or Saturday morning and return on the train leaving Moutiers on Saturday morning or Saturday night. If you travel by night both ways you will get 8 days skiing as opposed to 6 days if you use the daytime service or 7 days if you use one of each.

I am happy to advise you which flights other guests are using as the more people on the same flight the easier it is to arrange transfers

Mountain Heaven guests requiring transfers  must land in Geneva by 14.00 and return on a flight taking off after 13.30

www.seat61.com or www.snowcarbon.co.uk are a great help when planing train journeys–often cheaper than flying—-Changing in Paris is cheaper than Eurostar and allows guests who are not London based to fly into Paris if they prefer

It is also possible to fly to Chambery, Grenoble or Lyon as long as you are happy to take a private transfer to resort

Jardin & Louis guests flying into Grenoble could try www.snowbus.co.uk for transfers to Courchevel le Praz

eg   BA 0384 1155 Heathrow 1445 Grenoble    BA0385 1535 Grenoble 1630 Heathrow

Guests flying into  Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble & Chambery  could also try https://www.lepraztransfers.com/  if times do not suit MH transfer

Transfers

Skivo2 chalets

Shared 8 seat minibus transfers meet flights landing before 1630 in Geneva . Return transfers serve flights departing from 10.30. The last transfer leaves resort at 13.00 so guests on evening flights will have a wait in Geneva. We try to avoid waiting but those landing & taking off at peak times ie between 12.00 & 1500 are likely to wait less than early or late arrivals & departures. The more people choosing the same flight the better! Please ask me if you would like to know which flights other guests have chosen.

£120pp return: Geneva,
£140 return Grenoble, only for Heathrow flight taking off at 11.55 and returning at 15.40–transfer now full
£25pp return: Moutiers (£15 single)

I can help you find other transfers if you choose flights to other airports or at different times–see above

Mountain Heaven transfers

£120 pp return Geneva—-you must land by 14.00 and return on a flight taking off after 13.30

Lift Passes

We buy the 3 valleys pass to allow our lessons to venture into Meribel & Val Thorens as well as Courchevel. (except beginners who can buy the Courchevel only pass) It is important to have the same ski pass as other members of your lesson group so that the lesson is not limited. Lift passes should be ordered in advance through the Singlesport booking site by clicking on “options” but they are paid for by card or cash on arrival. Skivo2 will take your payment & give you the pass when you hire skis or in your chalet . They will also organise passes in time for anyone arriving on the overnight train ready to ski Saturday morning. By buying through skivo2 you can take advantage of the Tribu discount. There is also a discount for “seniors” over 65 with proof of age. Here are the prices https://www.les3vallees.com/en/ski-pass/skipass-rates/

Skivo2 will not charge you for using your credit card but your bank may do. To avoid bank charges you can pay in cash if you wish.
